Matthew 14:25‭-‬31

April 2, 2023

Matthew 14:25‭-‬31 (NIV) Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

“Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

I recently watched the final episode of season 3 of The Chosen. This was in that episode. And it was remarkable, powerful, wonderful...

These verses are a solid reminder of where I am in my #faith, my climb up this million-mile mountain. They are a solid reminder of what I need to do to stay on the #Path Yahweh has guided me to.

I need to #getoutoftheboat. I need to show Yeshua I have complete and total faith that he will heal my shattered heart and keep me above the water. I need to show Him I #trust in His Ways and want to carry my cross as I follow Him. I need to move this mountain with my faith...

But, first, I have to get out of the boat. I have to take that first step. I thought I had been taking them; I thought I had been climbing this mountain. But I have realized I never got out of the boat... Jesus came out into this #storm to meet me. But He loves me so much, He wants me to keep growing stronger in my faith. The only way I can grow stronger is if I take that step.

Pray I get off the boat. Pray I take that step so that I can continue climbing this mountain. I am so loved and have so many prayer warriors. Her family is so loved, too, and they have tons of prayer warriors as well. We are so, so blessed to have everyone remembering us, even those who are going through horrible times, too. I love all of you and ask y'all to please continue praying for us.

I love you, Felicia. Father, I pray I can continue honoring her legacy; I pray I can get off this boat sooner rather than later. I pray those reading about her life and my struggles after I lost her will see You, Yahweh. I pray the words I write are what You need them to hear. I thank you for loving me. I thank you for giving me 22 #fantastic years with the most incredible lady. I am truly blessed by you, Adonai.

I love you, angel. Always. Forever. #Fiercely
