#LoveYourNeighbor

May 1, 2023

Felicia loved everyone. She never met a stranger. But, like the rest of us, she disliked certain kinds of personalities or character traits. She tried her best to separate her dislike of these traits from her genuine #love for #mankind. She kept me grounded with her example of this. She did her #best to be like Jesus when it came to loving her fellow humans.

I had become more cynical in my younger (late twenties) years, so her love for everything was a refreshing change. And, it's amazing how much she loved her fellow man, even after the stuff she went through growing up, even stuff just a few years before we met. It was this love that really separated Felicia from the rest.

It's hard to love your fellow human, especially the monsters out there. But we are called to love everyone, including the monsters. We don't need to (nor should we) love the actions of people. We just need to love them. Yeshua loves them. Yahweh loves them. We need to love them. And this is hard. I know. I marvel at how God could love the monsters that lurk on earth. How are we supposed to love people like Hitler? Mussolini? Dahmer?? Well, we love that they are human. We can rebuke their actions, their personalities, their abhorrent character traits, but we must still love the human in them.

This is what Felicia did. This is how I am. I still fail time to time because it's hard for me to love monsters. It was hard for Felicia, too. Especially as she got older and wiser to this wicked world. But, she still did. And it's her love for her fellow man that had helped me to do the same. I think we eventually helped each other to keep this command. Because with satan prowling like a lion, we find it more and more difficult to just love one another. Now I don't have my bride with me to keep me in check. I pray I'll continue loving my fellow man as I have these past 22 years. Especially as I continue my million-mile journey.

I miss you, my sweet angel. I miss your love, your hugs, your kisses... I miss you, my wonderful wife. Always. Forever. #Fiercely
