John 1:14

April 26, 2023

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. - John 1:1

Whenever I read about Yeshua's place in the Trinity and in human history, I always think about how He is referred to as "the Word." This verse (John 1:14) expands on John 1:1 in that John reminds us of Jesus' most significant attributes: #Grace and #Truth. It's these two attributes Felicia knew intimately. Felicia lived with the Grace and Truth in her. She loved Our Savior. She was always seeking His Grace and Truth.

When we first got serious about our relationship, we made a promise to each other: we will always put Yahweh first in our lives. We further promised that in our marriage, we would put God before each other. We had a hierarchy: God, each other, immediate family, extended family, friends. Through this hierarchy, we maintained a beautiful marriage. It's because of our love for Our Lord and Savior, and Our Father, that we stayed so happy together. Even through Felicia's pain, we were a marriage of #joy and #love.

The Grace and Truth of Yeshua are values Felicia and I both believe strongly in. We know Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. We know His time on earth was prophesied about. We know that God loves us so much that He gave His only Son as a #sacrifice so that we can enjoy #eternity in His Presence, worshiping and praising His Name. As long as we #believe Jesus died on that #cross then rose again on the third day, just as it was foretold through prophets of old, we will spend eternity in His Glory.

It's this belief I hold to. It's this belief Felicia held to. It's this belief that is helping restore my shattered heart, lift this burdensome weight from my crushed soul, and bring me comfort in my pain. I know my darling wife is in God's full Glory, wrapped in His full Love - a love we can never feel on this plane. We will only feel what Felicia is feeling once we reunite with Our Father in His Kingdom. And until my day comes where I find myself standing in His Full Presence, praising and singing, I need to continue to show those around me who He is.

Thank you for Loving Jesus, Felicia. You are now pain-free. I still miss you. Always. Forever. #Fiercely
